Job Description:

Bodkin Design & Engineering (BD&E) is seeking an Electro-Optic Instrument Engineer who is creative, analytical, and ready to provide technical leadership on a range of electrical, optical, and systems design tasks. The role involves developing proposals, technologies, products, and business for electro-optic sensor and imaging systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects end-to-end, from design to product development, and will lead research and development initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience with spectroscopy, hyperspectral imaging, infrared cameras, optics, lasers, and optical bench set-up.
• System design with Zemax and image analysis with Python or MATLAB.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and debugging electronics or optical systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, Physics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electro-optics, optics, imaging, or electrical design.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
